The Global Color team supports and drives efforts around the on-going centralization of Color and Proofing across the business. Color & Print Specialists at various levels are needed to bring standardization and centralization for Color and Proofing, and to support the plants in achieving the desired color results at the proofing and press stage.


This position will help support the global transition to the new centralized way of working across all plants and regions. This position will work closely with other members of the Color Team, Plant Leads, and Color and Proofing Leads at the operations level. In addition to initial transition, this position will offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for plant locations, as needed.


Responsibilities will include color profile analysis and generation in addition to support for color and proofing system. It may also include the creation and measurement of fingerprint forms and project co-ordination opportunities, for technical projects being managed by the color team.
The position will report into on of the local Color Hub Manager, employee will also need to work closely with PQM, the Press Approval team, Regional Color Managers, and Global Color & Print Directors.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

Provide technical support for color and proofing at the plant level
Develop profiles, dot gain compensations curves, and specify image carrier information
Project co-ordination for technical, global projects
Validate and on-board supplied profiles
Support and maintain color solutions, such as Zepra & GMG
Troubleshoot color and proofing related prepress issues
Perform print quality evaluations, reports and scorecards as determined by customer print and color management program.
Will be required to become an expert in color measurement and related tools
(spectrophotometers and software applications).
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about color tolerances and color science.


Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

Higher level Education in graphics, print, or color management, or equivalent experience
2+ years Experience in color measurement and management
The ability to generate profiles and curves from fingerprint data
Experience in prepress for Offset, Flexo and preferably Gravure

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collaborate with the Art Director and Lead Designer to understand project briefs, brand guidelines, and technical constraints, with a particular focus on Digital, Web, and UX/UI Design aspects.

2. Interrogate project briefs thoroughly and deliver creative solutions that meet project requirements across various platforms.

3. Familiarize yourself with our file setup, file naming conventions, and server filing procedures, with an emphasis on digital asset management.

4. Use internal reviews to enhance your design skills, develop confidence in presenting your work, and gain a deeper understanding of the strategic aspects of design and brand awareness.

5. Manage and prioritize your allocated production workload, reporting progress and any issues to your line manager.

6. Utilize our internal Management Information System (MIS) to record accurate data on personal production timings, ensuring efficient project management.

7. Adhere to all quality control procedures and production standards, with a specific focus on digital and web design best practices.

8. Actively contribute to the studio's creative environment by assisting the team and sharing inspiration related to Digital, Web, and UX/UI Design.

SUPPORTING TASKS

· Complete any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Design Leads.

· Follow company protocols with regards to job delivery and completion through MediaProd/FloWr/MySGS

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

· Strive for "Right-First-Time" (RFT) work.

· Maintain a minimum of 90% utilization or productive hours on average.

· Achieve a minimum efficiency rate of 95%.

· Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of finalized artwork.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

· 0-2 years of experience within a Brand, Design, Communications, or Media agency, with a focus on Digital, Web, and UX/UI Design.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, and Dreamweaver.

· Exposure to working with brand guidelines, especially in the context of digital and web design.

· Understanding of print production processes.

· A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration, Web Design, or a related field.

· Knowledge of Visual Code and responsive web design is an advantage.
