Job Summary:

As a Senior Designer, you’ll be responsible to create design that translate brand needs into distinctive visual outcomes. Design craft and implement the brand experience across all touchpoints – Print & Digital; through cleverly applied insight, compelling conceptual territories, confident creativity and powerfully consistent activation. ?

You’ll know how to autonomously challenge a brief. Possessing in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques, you’ll produce exceptional work, maintaining the brand experience across concepts and channels. You’ll work closely with Lead Designers, Art Director and Creative Studio Manager, helping to guide Middleweight and Junior team members and support their creativity.

Job Responsibilities

Work with Art Director and Lead Designer to understand the brief, brand guidelines and technical constraints for the project and aiding them guide middleweight and junior team members?.
Challenge the brief, delivering the expected and the unexpected in your response.
Autonomous in producing high-quality designs on medium to high complexity projects.
Championing and following our file set up, file naming and server filing procedures.
Adding value to internal design reviews, offering fresh perspective, giving feedback to executional consistency.
Be a team player. Keeping the channels of communication open between Design, artworking and management teams, seeking guidance and offering solution when things change.
Effectively manage your time.
Manage an allocated production workload and report progress/issues to line manager.
Use internal Management Information System (MIS) to record accurate data on personal production timings.
Ensure all quality control procedures and production standards are adhered to.
Pro-actively assisting the team, contributing to studio inspiration and design events.

Supporting tasks

Complete any adhoc tasks as assigned by the Design Leads
Follow company protocols with regards to job delivery and completion through our system
Performs other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time

Technical Skills Required

4-8 years’ experience within a Brand, Design, Comms or Media agency, in a Design roles
Excellence in Adobe CC, (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, Dreamwiewer) ?
Understanding of strategic, creative and commercial aspect of brands and the world they inhabit?
Deep understanding of print production, materials and finishes?
Coaching and mentoring skills?
Emerging client presentation skills, discussing, defending design
A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration or related field?
Knowledge of Visual Code and responsive web design is an advantage

Behavioral Competencies Required

A real passion for the process of Design, aesthetic craft, perfectionism?
Focused, organized, collaborative?
Ability to confidently and clearly articulate your thinking?

The Role:
Based at ourBoulogne-Billancourt site, the successful applicant will work as part of a busy and thriving reprographics department. They will be an integral part of the Print Conversion Team that specialises in the Flexographic printing process and will be expected to have experience creating single image repro files using Esko Packedge and complex step & repeat files using Esko Plato. They will be responsible for ensuring that all files will print according to the printers specifications and brief supplied. Excellent communication skills and a positive and friendly attitude are essential. A knowledge of Artpro+ would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Creating high quality, print-ready files for Flexographic printers.
• Colour retouching specialist
• Maintaining brand/print consistency throughout all disciplines
• To use internal MIS in accordance with standardised work procedures to ensure an accurate permanent asset database is maintained.
• To follow all internal processes in place for repro
• To adhere to all reporting processes set up within the department
• Provide input into development of quality processes based on client needs.
• To communicate/advise directly with internal CSR team and client regarding possible risks -to-print.
• To actively participate in the Performance Development Program

Skills and Abilities:
• Experience working with digital packaging artwork files
• Excellent understanding of flexographic repro requirements
• Good understanding of Colour management
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrate ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Experience of working with Esko graphic editors and Esko AE.
• Ability to use Artpro+ and Adobe Creative Suite an advantage
• Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
